Visiting Assistant Professor of Musical 剧院 and Directing
Nebraska Wesleyan University invites applications for a full-time visiting Assistant Professor of Musical 剧院 and Directing for the 剧院 Arts Program. The start date for this position will be August 2024.

Due to the timing of the academic year for this opening at NWU, the position status will be set as a one-year visiting position with an anticipated national search for a tenure-track position being conducted early in 2025. Visiting candidates may apply for the tenure-track position in 2025 with consideration for current service.
This faculty member will play a primary role in helping coordinate NWU’s BFA Musical 剧院 program. Responsibilities include teaching musical theatre classes and voice lessons, and serving as musical director and/or st年龄 director for musical theatre productions. Depending on the applicant’s qualifications, other duties may include teaching dance, theatre classes in the acting and directing curricula, 举办戏剧, and choreography.
- Terminal degree (MFA or PhD) in 剧院 or MA with five or more years of professional musical theatre and directing experience.
- Previous teaching and st年龄 direction experience and prospective student recruitment experience preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty, staff, directors and designers.
- Ability to maintain a strong, positive, professional approach to theatre training.
